Vendetta Vixens are a Roller Derby team based in Northampton and while we love playing Roller Derby we also love to support local charities. This year we have decided to support Gosset Ward, the Special Care Baby Unit at Northampton General Hospital as they have cared for either the children or other family members of some of our team.

The staff of Gosset Ward do the most amazing job every single day looking after babies that are born either prematurely or too poorly to manage on their own without support. They work in a very high pressure environment and, like all NHS departments, they work to a very tight budget. Donations like these provide the ward with extra funds that can be spent on many important things like extra equipment and consumables or items and furnishings to improve the ward and make it as pleasant and comfortable a place to be as possible for the parents and babies who call the ward home some times for months at a time.

Our next fundraising event is to run the Gung-Ho 5k obstacle race in Milton Keynes on Saturday 9th July. The course has 10 inflatable obstacles and the final one is Europe's tallest inflatable obstacle - A slide standing at over 5 storeys high. Further information can be found on the link below:
