Having reached a certain age I was becoming aware that to stay in good health I needed to do something a little bit more strenuous than ride motorbikes and drive RC cars...! I tried running back in October 2015 but suffered from shin splints almost straight away - I think from doing too much too soon.  I have now signed up for this Steeplechase and have started with the Couch-to-5km plan to ease me in gently.  As some of you may know my 6 year old son, Luke is Type 1 Diabetic so to motivate me I am determined to raise as much money as I can for the great JDRF charity who support and are funding research in the hope of a cure so please give generously!
