Story

I'm completeing my 'Virtual Challenge' to support women during pregnancy and childbirth around the world. 'It Takes a Village' is a campaign to unite parents with a shared goal to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother. The money I raise will be used to provide training for health professionals so they can spot danger signs in pregnancy, enable emergency transport for mothers in labour and support health facilities in hard to reach areas. Please Give Generously! £8.74 - could support outreach officers to facilitate community discussions on family planning, reducing the risks of pregnancy by encouraging spacing between children. £20.55 - could provide medical staff with support and training to implement quarterly blood drives, ensuring no women need to die from blood loss in childbirth. £46.30 - could help to run a weekly radio show about maternal health, allowing women in remote, inaccessible areas to receive the health education they need to keep themselves safe.
