03.07.12 Unfortunately I have been told this morning bya doctor that I have tendonitis in my left foot which means I am unable to run for up to 6 weeks making it impossible for me to train & take part in the 10km run later this month :( I'm VERY disappointed but will definately be hoping to take part in another race later this year so I'll keep you updated. Wish me a speedy recovery!!!
26.06.12 In a months time I'll be running 10km through Castle Coombe and hope to raise a little more for The Prostate Cancer Charity. I only started training last week but managed 5km with ease so hoping to beat my time of 54mins 46 secs which I achieved last year in The Forest of Dean.
10.06.12 After a 2 year battle with cancer my wonderful, amazing Dad very sadly passed away on 29.04.12. His stength will never be forgotton and I know he would of never wanted to leave us. I miss him and love him very much. He was proud to help the Prostate Cancer Charity and at his funeral we raised funds again for this charity as well as St Peters Hospice. I hope to complete another 10k this year and thank everyone for their support xxx

This weekend we'll be running 10k through the forest of dean and we can't wait. Training has gone really well and we can't believe how generous everyone has been, thank u to those who have donated so far. The prostate cancer charity offers support and carries out vital research to help families like mine. We're running for my dad so please support us and we'll be sure to let you all know how the run goes on Sunday. Wish us luck.

1 man dies every hour from prostate cancer, that just shows how important this cause is. Jo and me have been training really hard, going for outdoor runs 2-3 times a week as well as hitting the gym, spinning and circuits!!! All ur help is massively appreciated. THANK YOU

After such an amazing response and donations coming through thick and fast (thank u everyone who has donated so far) I have decided to up the target to £3000!!!! I know that with ur help we can smash this target and to exceed it would be even better!!! Don't forget why we are doing this; discovering my dad had prostate cancer was the worst thing that has ever happened to me but now we want to raise awareness and help The Prostate Cancer Charity. I'm sure we can do it...Jo and me are preparing to run run run!!!

Yeaaaaaaa I can confirm that I am officially capable of actually running 10km. Smashed it on the treadmill tonight in 1 hour 3 seconds :) however I am aware that running through a forest is going to be harder so I'll keep u updated on how my Saturday run through the woods with Jo goes. Twigs in the hair, nettle stings and grass stained trainers are all to come!

Well I didn't break my record of 22 pancakes this year but I had to take into consideration my fitness and weight levels for the big 10 K
07.03.11 OK so I went to train tonight on the treadmill & thought I'll run for as long as I can and then look at the end how far I did in what time....45 mins in...then BAM I accidently hit the emergency stop button, nearly flew off the back of the treadmill and lost all the data
08.03.11 GREAT NEWS....I have a new recruit who's going to help raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity. One of my oldest chums, the recently engaged Joanne Poole will be giving moral support, training with me and even running the 10km with me. In the process she can slim down to slither into that dream wedding dress :)
Hi Guys!!! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may already know my wonderful dad was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. It's one of those things that you never think will happen to you or some-one so close to you and when it does it turns your world upside down. Our family are all coping and dealing with the news in different ways....dad treating himself to a massive cruiser motorbike being one example :)
I'm taking part in a 10km run in May 2011 in the Forest of Dean and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Charity. They provide useful, much needed support, advice and information on prostate cancer. I certainly had many of my own questions answered about my dads condition from just browsing their website. They also do valuable research to help develop drugs, tests, treatments and long-term care to help improve the lives of the men we love who have prostate cancer.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. I'm running for my dad who I love very much and any support from you would be much appreciated.
