Verizon is partnering with the global charity World Vision on a 6k run/walk to help build a world where more children have access to clean drinking water.

Six kilometers is the average distance people – usually women and girls – have to walk every day to get water for their families in the developing world. Often the walk is dangerous, children miss school, and the water is dirty meaning children get sick.

The Verizon Foundation will match our donations up to $1,000 for each employee (whose donations can, in part, be raised through friends and family), and up to $25,000 total for the event.
