Since Vernon was referred to Palliative Care he attended the Wellbeing Centre one day a week from January.  The staff and volunteers there are wonderful and the room overlooking the lake is beautiful.  The patients are offered relaxing treatments such as hand or shoulder massage, activities like art or word-wheels and accompanied short walks by the lake, not to mention a marvellous three course lunch, coffee and biscuits, tea and cake.

The Centre is an uplifting place to be, where patients can forget about their ailments for a while and just be themselves, being pampered among friends.  Vernon loved it and would have wanted as many people as possible to benefit from it.
