As many of you know, Summer Search is an organization that I hold dear to my heart. During this unprecedented time, Summer Search is uniquely positioned to continue supporting more than 2,000 students and alumni across Boston. With students out of school across the country, Summer Search is continuing to provide virtual mentoring and programs, and has created a fund to fulfill emergency needs.

Summer Search's in-depth, wraparound support for our students is more vital than ever. With schools closed and other support systems at capacity, Summer Search is one of the few constants our young people can count on for the support they need.To ensure their path to thriving adulthood is not permanently disrupted, Summer Search is providing low-barrier, urgent funding for groceries, utilities, and housing. To help young people process the new world around them, our team is
also working harder than ever to provide in-depth virtual mentoring with our highly trained, full-time staff. 

If you are able to, please join me in raising money to aid the Summer Search community. Any donation will help make an impact, and funds will be used for some of our most pressing needs this spring and summer, including:

• $50 – to provide Zoom accounts for a month to
  facilitate group mentoring sessions 
• $100 – to provide one week of professional
  mentoring for a student
• $250 – average emergency funding request for a
  family during the COVID-19 pandemic
• $500 – to provide post-secondary and financial
  aid advising for one student
• $1,000 – to provide virtual summer programming
  for one high school student this year
