Kindred is a charity supporting families of children with additional needs including complex, life limiting and terminal conditions. 

Based in Edinburgh at the Sick Children's with satellite offices in Fife and Glasgow, kindred rely on charitable funding to provide this essential service. 

They not only provide a listening ear and emotional support but also provide Advocacy and a unique and supportive service for families in many complex situations. Families are often plunged into a very dark and alien world when their baby is not born as expected or due to an illness or accident at anytime. The whole family unit are affected in so many different ways and each families situation is unique. Kindred liaise with the many professionals and statutory services to support the whole family and hopefully help alleviate some of the trauma, distress and isolation.
