Veronica Young BEM (Vron) - Breast Cancer Awareness & ‘Chemo’ 4 Fundraiser for RAF Association Moray, and in memory of Pam Latham-Scott  Why am I doing this? Well, the RAF Association supports thewhole RAF community, which includes all those who are serving, those who haveserved, and their families, when they are in need. As an Associate member, AssociationBranch Secretary Moray, and volunteer on the Connections for Life project, Iknow first-hand the great work that it does. See more information about theAssociation at https://rafa.org.uk/ I am dedicating Chemo 4 to the RAF Association in Moray andalso to the memory of my friend Pam Latham-Scott.  Pam did the handover of RAF Association BranchSecretary to me in 2019.  Pam had heldthe post for 4 years.  I had known Pam andher husband Marty for over 20 years.  Pamworked for HIVE at Lossiemouth with my other friends Debbie Tulip and EvelynBullmore, while I was working at the HIVE Leuchars.  In March 2021, a few months before her veryunexpected passing, she undertook the daunting task of training me over 10weeks from 0 to 56 miles (that’s all we had!) on my second-hand road bike, givingme confidence riding on the road, increasing my stamina and road distances, sothat I could undertake the 56 mile charity bike ride in May 2021 that I hadsigned up for.  Pam did such a great jobthat as I crossed the finish line after 56 miles with my good friends JoeyThomson, and Ronnie Grieve, I wished we had signed up for the 100 milechallenge.
