Isle of Wight Challenge for the Trussell Trust

VES nominated charity 2022 · 20 January 2022
Our companies nominated Charity this year is the Trussell Trust as chosen by VES representatives. We feel passionate about the charity which aims to stamp out food hunger within the UK, something which seems unimaginable in such a prosperous part of the world far from any devastating conflict like we are witnessing in Ukraine, however, there remains a food hunger crisis in the UK. The trust aims at supporting the 14 million people living in food poverty, including 4.5 million children through their 1,200 food bank locations.
To raise awareness for our charity with the hope to generate funds, Kevin Feeney and Jed Atack will be undertaking an epic 106 km ultramarathon to raise money for the Trussell Trust, VES’s chosen charity for 2022.
The Isle of Wight Challenge will take part at the end of April and will see Kevin and Jed making their way around the beautiful island and pushing themselves to the limits. The continuous run will take them from Chale and back again over a 106 km course and 2,000 meters of climb! They hope in about 16hrs!
They would love to raise £1,200 for the Trussell Trust, which supports a nationwide network of food banks and provides emergency food and support across the UK.
Every penny of support makes a real difference to all the charities we are currently supporting, and any size of donation is sincerely welcomed, so if you can, please do dig deep and help us raise vital funds needed by those charities all listed above.
Thank you for all your support.
