I am one of a team of St John’s nurses who were planning a 4-day fundraising trek on difficult terrain in Iceland in 2020. Although the trip was cancelled due to Covid 19, we are optimistic that it will go ahead in 2021 because raising funds is more important than ever before.

I really enjoy working at St John's because the hospice connects with so many people in different ways and I think that says a lot about the care we deliver, as well as all the amazing people who work there. I want to support them in this difficult time and raise as much money as I can by completing this big adventure! It's going to be cold, tough and tiring, but it will also be exciting, rewarding and fun. Not to mention it would tick the Northern Lights off the bucket list! (Hopefully!)
