The idea behind my taking part in this Milton Keynes Festival of Running 10K run started off because I wanted to do something to get fit and thought "Let's set myself a challenge that I have to work really hard to achieve" I then decided to make it an even bigger challenge by doing it for Charity. I have chosen two causes to raise money for, The Jessica Sherman Foundation and The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. 
The Jessica Sherman Foundation is a local Milton Keynes cause  which I have recently got involved with. The Foundation comforts and supports those who have suffered a baby loss and are working towards breaking the taboo surrounding baby loss.
The John Radcliffe Hospital is a cause very close to my heart. My son Ethan was very poorly as a baby, first as a Newborn with a serious lung infection and then again at 5 Months when he required emergency surgery for a hole in his bowel which meant he needed a Stoma until he was a year old. We almost lost him on both these occasions but thanks to the teams in PICU and Tom's Ward within the John Radcliffe Hospital Ethan is now a happy and healthy 4 year old who will start school in September.
Any amount you can donate will be gratefully received and given to two amazing causes.
