If you know me you probably know I'm terrified of heights and I've never abseiled before (no surprise there!). What better way to raise money for a truly worthy cause and people may just pay to see me have a meltdown or poop my pants or both. On a serious note please give what you can to this fantastic local charity that helps families worldwide.

I used to work with John Connerty and in 2005, he and his wife Sue were the first people in the UK to have a child born with Primordial Dwarfism. As a result there was little information the doctors could give them to answer their questions and no research to rely on. For their son, Alex, the condition meant that he spent a lot of time in hospital with serious health issues. In those first years of bewilderment and anxiety John and Sue set on a mission to find out more information and have worked tirelessly since then to create a network of support to ensure that other families don't have to face such difficult time.

The Walking with Giants Foundation was created by John and Sue in 2008 and it now supports children and families from across the world. Just one of the ways they do this is with an annual conference for children with Primordial Dwarfism that brings families together from America, Australia and Europe. The children get to play with children their own size  for the first time and parents get support from each other as well as medical guidance. For some this is the only opportunity to do this.

Please donate so that John and Sue can continue to educate and help families. And so that children like Alex get to make friends and have the chance that for once they aren't walking with giants, they're just kids having fun.
