Story
Before we start a little secret.... Yes that is me in my cover photo out and about as Hero Bear..... but shhhhh it was the real Heroes day off so I helped him out!
I am the laziest person going, so to motivate myself to get out of the chair and off the computer I have set myself a challenge to walk (I don’t do running) 5 marathons during the month of October. To keep me motivated I have set it up as a challenge to raise money for Help for Heroes.
I will be completing them using a combination of our treadmill at home, it is no good sitting there looking pretty it needs to be used and walks with friends and friends dogs.
Help for Heroes is a charity close to my heart. I am immensely
proud of my all my family who served in the armed forces and those friends who have or still are serving. At one point I wanted to go into the army myself and serve with the Corps of Army Music, then I heard I still had to do 6 months basic training – yup I have always been lazy! The work they do is amazing but it is also a reminder to us all that the majority of our veterans get forgotten or lost in the system when they are discharged.
I know that it may have been a hard year for a lot of people
so I am not asking for much just a little donation to keep me motivated along the way and through October in completing my 5 marathons (130 miles – oh dear Lordy!)
I am aiming for £100 per marathon but if I get more great but everything
helps and counts!
Thanks for reading and wish me luck!
