I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2014 while 30 weeks pregnant. I had 2 rounds of chemo before our beautiful daughter was induced 4 weeks early. I had my third lot when she was 5 days old. I've since had 12 rounds of chemo, an operation and 15 sessions of radiotherapy. I have run throughout treatment as a way of staying fit and also for the sake of my sanity. This disease affects too many people every day and I've been fortunate to see real kindness and support from family, friends and strangers alike. Unfortunately a scan that was intended to show my treatment was finally over, has shown spread to my lung, making me now incurable and I have restarted chemo for the rest of my life. I' m joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year to try and return even an ounce of the support I've been shown, I've also decided to up the ante on cancer by running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for CRUK. Please join in the fight, and validate my craziness, by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure.
