We work to conserve burial grounds to keep thm beautiful for people & wildlife

Story

I have been volunteering with the Churchyard Task Team at Caring for God's Acre for about a year now. It's great fun learning how to use a scythe, lay hedges and build dry stone walls.  All in the peace and tranquillity of ancient churchyards and burial grounds, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the sound of birdsong. Often these places have undisturbed flora and fauna going back thousands of years. As mass extinction gathers pace these burial grounds across our land are becoming precious last remaining havens of biodiversity. So please consider sponsoring me in support of this wonderful charity, whose work supports this one wonderful world we are blessed with.

UPDATE

Jo and I completed the Hackney Half today in 2hours37minutes2seconds - BIG THANKS to everyone who helped me exceed my fundraising goal - including cheques you have donated well over £400 to the conservation work of Caring for God’s Acre
