Our mum was the rock of the family, she was warm, loving and absolutely bonkers.   She fought a very courageous battle but had to grow her wings.  Being at the hospice didnt make those final weeks sad, we laughed, we had support, mum was comfortable and our children were able to be there without it being scary, it became a home from home.

Anyone who knows me, will know that my mum and Ava were side by side from the moment the pregnancy test was positive.  They had a  wonderful relationship and I will keep the memories alive for Ava.

Ava will be doing the Santa dash along with her auntie Karen to raise money to enable the hospice to continue supporting families just like they did with ours.

I can't stress enough what the hospice did for us and we will be forever grateful.  Any donations are welcome, 50p, £1 anything every penny counts!
