Story
Every year I take part in The Great North Run with the aim of raising awareness and money for very important charities and causes. This year, I am running for Cardiac Risk in the Young, CRY.
CRY is a charity acting to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, whilst also offering emotional support for the families affected by such tragedy.
CRY has been something which I have been unaware of, but it has recently been brought to the forefront of our minds due to the heartbreaking loss of a beautiful young lady, Mia Jennings.
For these important charities, all of the support we can offer counts. Please, if you can donate or share as widely as possible to increase the much needed awareness this charity deserves!
A screening centre for CRY, offering subsidised ECG and Echocardiogram screening to all young people between the ages of 14 & 35, has also been opened in Bollington; so please take some time to get your loved ones checked.

Thank you, Vicks 😊
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
