My grandpa lost his battle with chronic lung disease at the end of last year. He was a proud Geordie and the most generous man I've ever met; throughout his life, he walked the Great North Run countless times to raise money for charity. I'm taking part in the GNR to follow in his footsteps and honour his memory.
