New Forest Marathon · 8 September 2019

At the National Justice Museum we inspire people of all ages to become active citizens. We do this through creative and engaging activities, exhibitions and educational programmes relating to law and justice.

Story

On Sunday 8th September I will be attempting my first (and last) marathon. My feet hurt already and I am both excited and horrified about the prospect of running 26.2 miles. So to help get me round I have decided to raise money for the National Justice Museum.

I started working for the museum in March this year and have been amazed at the work they do. Without fundraising they simply couldn't deliver an inspiring education programme, free community workshops, free exhibition space and continue to conserve a fascinating collection and the beautiful historic building we are located in.

In June this year the National Justice Museum launched a Choices and Consequences exhibition and workshop. Choices and Consequences is a proven early prevention approach to knife crime which has been delivered to 13000 children in London. The National Justice Museum now hosts the programme in Nottingham. With your support we will be able to provide free access to the workshops for 9 to 14 year olds across the county.
