Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I started running last October and I could barely run a bath! I joint a brilliant running club called beginners 2 runners and started the 0-5k programme and in 10 weeks I was overjoyed to complete a 5k in 38 mins without stopping!!! I then moved on to do a 10k so the next stop has to be a half marathon.

So why do this for The National Autistic Society. My beautiful 17 year old niece has severe autism and it really does impact clearly on her life and that of the family. I also have a very close friend who son who also has autism and battle's everyday as he "looks normal." So many children and adults suffer and never understand fully their condition or even get a clear diagnosis.  Also, one thing I have found is everyone knows someone who is touched by someone with autism and it's more common then you think.

Over the next few months I will be updating both this page and my journey on Facebook and I already feel sick at the thought of doing this and I'm going for going for 2 1/2 hrs to complete the run.

Well ive done and completed the London Royal Park Half!!! Roll on this one

Wish me luck and even £1 would be so gratefully received.
