This year is The Unicorn School's 30th Anniversary

Story

As some of you may know our amazing son Toby didn't fit the box for a regular school. Toby has severe dyslexia which prevents him from learning in the conventional way. We were extremely fortunate to find the most amazing specialist dyslexia school for him where he has been since he started his secondary school journey in September. He said good bye to all of his primary school friends and hopped on the school bus to start his his next chapter alone. He was so brave! Since being at Unicorn Toby is thriving, he is happy, engaged in his learning and loving life. Unicorn school and staff are incredibly unique, despite them being an independent school they are still a registered charity and many funds are needed to continue the amazing work they do there. Its not until you are faced with the harsh reality of seeing just how much it costs to educate a child, especially one with complex needs that you realise how much we as a nation take our childrens free education for granted.

Toby, us, and all of the unicorns would be so grateful for any donations and sponsorship for their 9 mile walk! It really will make a difference!

Thank You!

The Unicorn School's bespoke approach to learning for children with specific learning difficulties helps them to build their self-confidence and re-kindle their love of learning. Often joining the school at the stage where they are reluctant to step foot in the building, by the time they leave they have the skills and belief in themselves to go on and achieve their dreams.
