The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you or a loved one need practical or emotional support, call our Connect Helpline on 0808 802 6262, Mon to Fri between 9am and 4pm.

Story

In April 2017, our mum was diagnosed with motor neurone disease. MND is a life-shortening condition that occurs when messages from your nerves gradually stop being received by your muscles. There is no cure.

In a year, Mum has lost her ability to walk, talk and swallow. She has weakness in her arms. Eventually, she won't be able to breathe.

Our lives have changed completely in the last year, but one thing hasn't - we love our mum and want to do everything we can for her. So, on 21st July we are taking part in a 5k dog jog to raise money for the MNDA - the incredible charity who have supported us emotionally, financially, and provided wonderful new opportunities.

And, to be honest, for a ten year old pug, 5k is practically a marathon. So please be generous and help support families like ours. Thank you!
