Molly and I are heading off for a 10k hike in the South Downs on 26th April with the rest of the New Priory team and their mutts to raise money for the fabulous Martlets Hospice in Hove. 

My beautiful friend Katrina Colburn died of cancer at the tender age of 34 last year. Katrina was a total star....endlessly positive, insanely energetic and always looking for fun. She was also an exceptional veterinary nurse. The care she received from the hospice in her last few weeks was second to none. It was so moving and reassuring to see how well she was looked after in her final days. I am hoping that by raising as much money as we can here we can help other patients in the future receive such excellent end of life care. 

Sadly just a few months later we also lost another dear friend and colleague Gloria Citrone. She too was an inspiration in the way she dealt with her illness and again was supported beautifully by The Martlets.
