Having suffered a major health scare within the last few years I have become more and more conscious of the benefits of remaining as fit and healthy as possible. And so on a cold dark winter evening, while nursing a broken collarbone, I decided to really challenge myself in 2019 by taking on the Chester Triple.

It begins on 10 March with a 10k race, followed by the half marathon on 19 May.  Topping it off will be the metric marathon on 6 October (you didn't think I was crazy enough to do a real marathon did you?).

A big thank you goes out to all those who have supported me so far, especially my husband Dave and my brother Stu - who has helped with a great training plan.

But what I really hope to achieve is to raise awareness and funds for our wonderful community centre in the heart of Neston, which provides important support and care for a wide range of local residents of all ages.  Many are not aware that NCYC is a registered charity.  Without the support of the community as a whole the Centre may struggle to continue to carry out its vital outreach programmes, assisting vulnerable people in real times of need.  

I would be so grateful if you could dig deep and give generously to support our Centre and its staff, to enable them to continue to make a real difference in our community.
