My friends Kat and Mark were blessed with pregnancy in 2017. Late in pregnancy Kat developed some very serious complications, added to the fact that baby Isla had a large cyst that would need medical attention at birth.

Following an emergency C-Section, baby Isla was transferred to the Royal London Hospital, whilst Kat had to recover in Southend. During this very distressing time, The Sick Childrens Trust provided accommodation for Mark (and eventually Kat) so that they could be nearby at all times.

Thankfully Isla is home and doing well. But I am so grateful that in their time of need, this charity was able to support my friends, so I am dedicating this years Charity effort to them.
