It has been 10 years since we lost my wonderful Mum to skin cancer and I have been saying for a while that I am going to complete an Olympic distance triathlon in her memory. 

On 10th September I will be swimming 1.5K, cycling, 40K and running/walking 10K to raise money for Cancer Research so that other families do not have to go through what we did. 

My Mum completed 6 Olympic distance triathlons to raise money for charity. She often commented on how I always managed to get out of PE at school and I think she would be surprised at me taking this on!

This feels like a fitting tribute to my Mum, although I am nervous about the challenge ahead of me. Thank you to everyone who has supported my family over the years and to everyone who is able to sponsor me!
