I will be taking part in a 5k Run 16th June 2018 to fundraise for Polly Parrot Children’s Appeal  Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, who are investing significant resources in paediatric services.

The objective of the appeal is to provide the best standard of paediatric facilities possible to support the high quality care that is currently being delivered. The money raised by the appeal will support the redesign of the area to include architectural design, decoration/finish and specialist equipment to enhance the superb facilities the redevelopment will provide.  

Their vision is to recreate the hospital environment by installing sensory equipment with careful selection of toys, books and electronic equipment for the parents and children who use their services.  By redeveloping the paediatric floor the hospital will be able to provide state of the art paediatric wards (including paediatric cancer facilities).
