After 10 long years since my last marathon, VLM2011, I decided it was time to get running fit again in order to raise some much needed funds for charity.

The plan was to run the Virgin London Marathon in October 2021. Unfortunately, during my training I realised that long distances weren't going to be possible.  My body had started to rebel, my IBS was in full flare and it was starting to make me pretty poorly.  

So, after speaking to my charities, I decided rather that quit completely, I would alter my challenge to one that my body was much more likely to cope with. 

So, I have decided to run 5k every day in September 2021.  Starting on my 45th birthday, September 1st, I will run at least 5k every single day up to, and including September 30th. 

Between now and September 1st, I will be running most days, working my way up to being able to run daily so I can limit my risk of injury and work on my rest and recovery strategy too.  I will be sharing my progress on my Instagram page at www.instagram.com/tinytealhandcrafted.
