Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in The Great North Run half marathon on Sunday 16th September.  I am running in aid of two charities, one of which is The Gout Society.  My father suffered a very bad attack of gout at the very beginning of 2011, leaving him unable to walk unaided for over a year, he is still recovering and awaiting a second major operation on his second ankle.  Although the gout effected all parts of his body it is in his ankles which have caused the most discomfort, had it not been for our wonderful family and friends and his determination to keep as active as possible despite the fact he has been in constant pain, our family farm would not be thriving as well as it is.

I would appreciate any money that you can donate to raise awareness of this terrible and overlooked condition and I would like to ask if you have the time, once you have decided how much you would like to donate please could you split the amount between my two pages.
