Story

For those of you who don't know what happened to my beautiful and amazing daughter Demi-Louise Sharif i will explain and hope that you will make a donation however small to help children 14 and above to get tested in the teesside area for undiagnosed heart conditions. so ill explain.

Demi was a fit and healthy normal 13 year old teenage girl she wanted to do so much with her life. Demi was always the life and soul of everything, always the joker wanting to make everyone laugh. She was truly amazing and everyone who had the pleasure to meet her would agree.

On the night of the 19th January 2011 Demi was sat on her laptop talking to her friends and talking to family members who had come round to visit. She was up until midnight until  we all went to bed. She hadnt complained that she had felt ill or anything. Then around 3am on the 20th January 2011 Demi's dad woke me up cause he had found her not breathing on the bathroom floor. She was rushed to hospital but there was nothing there could do. My daughter had passed away and our whole world had fell apart.

Because Demi was a fit and healthy girl and hardly ever poorly the doctor wanted to send her heart off for tests. Her heart came back six weeks later showing a perfectly normal heart. So they are putting it down to sudden adult death syndrome.

I would not want another parent to go through the pain what we go through every day. So myself and some family and some very close friends are doing events and sponsorship events to try to raise money to get 14 year olds and above in the teesside area tested for some undetected  heart conditions. First of all we need to raise £5000  for C-R-Y to help them do there research so they can stop this from happening to young people. Twelve young people every week die from an undiagnosed heart condition.

Even though we are holding charity events and doing sponsered events we would be very grateful if people could make a donation however small it is. As it will help us reach our target quicker so then we can start fundraising for the main target after we have reached the £5000.

I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
