Jurassic Coast Student Trek 2021 · 4 June 2021 to 6 June 2021 ·
From June 4th to June 6th 2021 I will be trekking nearly 40km along the beautiful Jurassic Coast to raise funds for charity CoppaFeel! Their mission is to educate young women and men on the importance of regularly checking their boobs and pecs to identify any irregularities to catch breast cancer early.
Breast cancer has been in my life for a long time, as a young girl I remember visiting my mum Mary in the hospital as she fought a second bout of the disease. Later in life I had to face losing my lovely sister Belinda and soon found out that I too was genetically predisposed to the disease, carrying a mutated BRCA1 gene.
On the 24th December last year I was diagnosed with triple negative stage 1, grade 3 invasive breast cancer. Since then I have started chemotherapy and will undergo surgery in July of this year to remove and reconstruct both my breasts.
This happened to me at 26, so I want to support a charity who's mission is solely to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools they need to get to know their bodies.
Things that a donation to CoppaFeel! can provide:
🤗£5 enables them to send out 100 SMS boob-check reminders.
🤗£10 allows them to equip our Boobettes with awareness materials so they can carry out talks to educate hundreds of young people.
🤗£25 enables them to provide 70 young people with a handy shower sticker to act as their monthly reminder.

If you're able to donate anything at all, please do!
Love,
Victoria
