Thanks for taking the time to visit our team JustGiving page. Let us tell you why this means so much to all of us...
When a couple of your closest friends or relatives lose the most precious thing, their beautiful 3 month old baby girl, Etta, it's hard to know what you can possibly offer in terms of comfort and support. As a close group of friends and family we want to do something together with Beth to remember Etta and support the incredible work that Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital (GOSH) continue to do. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge has been chosen as something that we can set out to achieve, supporting one-another and being spurred on by Etta’s gentle fairy touch.
We (see full list below) will be doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday 22nd July 2017, taking on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in a 24 mile course that includes 1,585 meters of ascent… all in under 12 hours!!! It isn't going to be easy walking for 12 hours straight since many of us have never done anything like this before - we need as much support as we can! Etta's short journey in this world will be remembered as we walk - we will be adorned with orange fairy wings and tutus which symbolise Etta's amazing auburn hair.
Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital provided Etta with the most incredible care, supporting Beth and Chris in the heartbreaking journey that no parent should ever have to take. The fact that Beth and Chris have taken such a positive experience from Etta's unimaginably short life is testament to both themselves and GOSH's care and has left so many of us amazed at their strength, understanding & courage. Etta could not have had more loving parents, not to mention her super-caring big sister Mima who will continue to look out for Etta’s star in the sky!

Donations to this page will help others to face their own battles in the future, not only at GOSH, but nationally and internationally through their pioneering research in rare childhood illnesses which they share with other healthcare institutions.
Training has commenced (give or take a few hangovers), truck loads of blister plasters are being ordered and Bank Road in Matlock (834m maxing out at 20% gradient) will soon seem like a mole hill (maybe)!
Wish us luck!
