Story

Victoria, Roger and Sam are taking part in a 5 day trek  across the wild volcanic landscapes, mountains, glaciers, hot springs, geysers and waterfalls of southern Iceland as part of #TeamStGiles.

We are challenging ourselves in memory of Gloria Craddock; loving wife, mother and grandmother, who sadly passed away on 24th September 2019 in the care of St Giles Hospice, Whittington.

Gloria was diagnosed with a primary grade 4 Glioblastoma (brain tumour) earlier this year. Her health deteriorated extremely quickly from diagnosis which unfortunately did not give her time to undergo treatment. She passed away 12 weeks after her initial diagnosis under the excellent support of the staff at St Giles who helped to keep her as comfortable as possible in the final few days of her life.

We are hoping to complete this trek to honour her memory and to help to raise money for this excellent cause.
