I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of the YMCA of Greater Louisville and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in the YMCA Annual Campaign. 

Since the passing of my mother, Brenda Russell, my twin sister Jacquelynn Russell and I have funded a scholarship in her name at the Chestnut Street YMCA Black Achievers Annual Awards Celebration. Each year the "Brenda Russell Memorial Scholarship" is awarded to deserving young person in support of their educational aspirations. Every year, I can literally feel how proud my mother would be. It is so fulfilling to see my Mother's Legacy continue to live on. It is a joy to recognize, celebrate, and honor the youth that will one day lead this world!!! This is my WHY!  Please join me in supporting our Youth!
