Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis - Poo to Pootin

Poo to Pootin · 7 March 2022
I used to think that stepping in dog pooh was the worst thing – there’s a lot of it around! With the current horrors happening in Ukraine, I am reminded that I am so privileged to be able to walk my dog in safety and that there are far worse things than dog poo.
In an effort to help the current situation in a small way and to make a contribution to help people experiencing the very worst things that are happening now, I will start picking up other people’s dog poo on my daily walks and in my own small way I will be saying poo to Pootin. I shall place the poo in a poobin, but I shall imagine doing other things with it! I have no special skills or talents, but I hope that this small action will raise a bit of money and remind me (and others) of how lucky we are to live somewhere we are currently safe, and not to take our privileges for granted.
If you can spare a £ or two to help me raise £50 for the DEC
Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal it will help me to keep motivated and say
Poo to Pootin!
Heavy fighting, shelling and air strikes across Ukraine have had devastating consequences. Already, over half a million people have fled their homes to escape intense conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind loved ones, livelihoods and almost everything they own, they need shelter, food, and water. £10 could provide essential hygiene supplies for 1person for one month - £50 could provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm - £100 could provide emergency food for 2 families for one month
