The Children's Bereavement Centre is a unique and special place where children aged between 3 and 18 and their families who are affected by terminal illness or death of someone close can access the support and guidance they need. Thank you for your support.

Story

On 11th October 2014, I am part of a team of staff and friends of the Grantham, Newark and Lincoln offices at Bird & Co taking part in the "Men's Health - Survival Of The Fittest" race in Nottingham.

The team of 19 will run the grueling 11km course whilst battling their way through muddy obstacles such as skips filled with ice cold water, sections of the River Trent and an 8 foot wall!!

This year started tragically with the sudden death of Property Partner Jane Overland who was not just my boss but a dear friend too.

Money raised by the team from race sponsorship will be going to the Newark & Notts Child Bereavement and Loss Centre (formerly Sue's Place), and the Cleft Lip and Palate Association.

Sue's place was one of Jane Overland's preferred charities and the Team wanted to do something in her memory. Having lost my mum at such a young age I know how important these charities are and how we must all do our bit to continue to support them in the hard work they do.

Whilst my page is dedicated to the Children's Bereavement Centre, if you wish to donate to the Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) - please click on the link below. I will be supporting this too.
