After years of trying for a baby, we were overjoyed to get pregnant, but the pregnancy was not easy and was full of worrying times and fears. 

Evie arrived 6 weeks early and was a little 4lb 3oz. She was taken straight to St Michael's NICU and put on a Cpap machine to help her breathe, treated for jaundice, tube fed and all the other things I wont bore you with. Over those 3 weeks (which seemed like a lifetime) we were surrounded by some of the poorliest babies and their wonderful families.

The staff there were absolutely wonderful, amazingly supportive, listened to our worries/fears and treated our girl wonderfully with such compassion and kindness. We were lucky enough to be given a room in the Cots for Tots house across the road from the hospital, meaning that I could visit at all times of night and day which was just amazing, as all you want to do is be with your baby 24 hours per day. 

We considered ourselves so lucky to be leaving with our baby girl, when some families may be there indefinitely or the absolute worst thing possible... leaving alone.

I was lucky enough to get accepted via Ballot into the London Marathon..... this was unexpected and something that I will only be doing the once and will be trying to enjoy (somehow) every mile of it as a 'once in a lifetime opportunity'. I would be so grateful if you would be able to spare a few pennies for this wonderful charity who remain close to our hearts and who we shall never forget.
