Domestic Abuse has been declared a National Emergency in the UK as of July 2024.

As some of you know, from late 2023 - late 2024, I became a victim of domestic abuse within a relationship. The most damaging aspect was the coercive control I endured, alongside financial and emotional abuse—things I didn’t fully recognise until I broke free and reached out for support. I spoke to friends, family, Domestic Violence Officers, the Police, and DV charities, sharing my experiences. Without their help, I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I now feel ready to give back.

I will be walking 62 Miles in March for Refuge. On any given day, Refuge supports thousands women and their children.
