Music Masters is an award-winning charity which aims to empower young people through music, supported by pro-active teachers, diverse role models and a truly inclusive music sector. Music education is fast becoming a privilege, not a right for our children. We want to change this.

Story

Victoria Sharp set up the charity London Music Masters in 2008 with the dual aim of providing high quality violin tuition for primary school children in areas of real financial need, and supporting the next generation of young professional violinists through its Bridge Project and the LMM Awards.

Despite this great interest in the violin, Victoria has never actually played the violin herself...until now. This year, Victoria will be putting herself in the shoes of our Bridge Project students by learning how to play the violin over a brief period of time. To add to the challenge, Victoria will also be sitting her Grade 1 exam in July.

Victoria is lucky to be helped with this daunting challenge by a number of amazing teachers including Jillian Leddra of the Bayswater Suzuki Group, Prof Itzhak Rashkovsky of the Royal College of Music, Geoffrey Lynn of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and some of our very talented Bridge Project students in a masterclass.
