Story
My aunt Harinder has been fighting stage 4 bowel cancer for the last few years — with a strength, bravery, and positivity that has humbled everyone around her.
Her journey hasn’t been easy. There have been moments of remission, moments of hope, and most recently, another round of chemotherapy.
Through all of it, she has stayed warm, funny, determined, and full of love.
Bowel cancer is one of those illnesses people don’t talk about enough. The symptoms are personal, often misunderstood, and sometimes difficult to speak about openly. But that silence means people suffer alone — and awareness, early detection, and support become harder to reach.
So I’m walking 60 miles by the end of October to raise awareness for bowel cancer support and research.
Every mile is for Harinder. For her courage. For her fight. For the families who are going through the same thing quietly. And for the hope that more open conversations can save lives.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply read this and learn a little more about bowel cancer — thank you. It means more than you know.
