We help autistic children, adults, families to get the help and support they need

Story

I own and run Caerphilly Comic Con and I have just finished running Caerphilly’s first ever 50K Ultra Run on 28th April.  It is the first of three fundraising events I am completing to raise £5,000 for The Autism Directory Charity.

We are raising much needed funds for The Autism Directory Charity to help fund a community project in Caerphilly.

The funds will go to help build and maintain a new community allotment including supplying equipment such as: - gardening tools, seeds, and plants and setting up the volunteer network to maintain the project for the years to come.

The Autism Directory supports children, adults and families living with autism and they raise awareness in society for a more inclusive place to live.

The charity not only supports the local Caerphilly Borough, but the surrounding boroughs outside Caerphilly.

The Caerphilly 50K Ultra Run was huge success and was organised by myself with the help of Caerphilly Garden Centre on the 28th April.  I completed it along with Ryan Flowers, manager at the Garden Centre and a family friend.

Our last challenge the ‘Sci-Fi Walk’ to Caerphilly Mountain, has been completed and now we move onto the main event.

Caerphilly Comic Con on the 15th June with many fun and free activities throughout the day for all the family.  I hope you can all join us there and continue to help us raise funds for this community project.

All the funds from the Caerphilly 50K Ultra Run, the Sci-Fi Walk and the Caerphilly Comic Con will be collected together towards the donation target.

Follow me here and on Caerphilly Comic Con Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and my website page for regular updates.

I would like to thank Weird Triangle, Caerphilly Garden Centre, Menter Caerfilli, Santander Bank Manager Stephen Thompson, Caerphilly Branch, Maxime Cinema, Blackwood, Dust and Things, and TyFu Cafe, Caerphilly for their support.

If you are able to donate or sponsor, your support will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Vik Yadh
