It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We've had a tough couple of years since losing Dad to pancreatic cancer and decided it is time to do what we can to help prevent other families going through the same pain.  Pancreatic Cancer UK aims to double the survival rate of patients within 5 years. The plan is to RAISE FOR:

Research - into early diagnosis and improved treatment
Awareness - to fund projects that improve the profile of the disease
Innovation - to develop creative and cutting edge ideas and approaches
Support - for patients, families and carers
Expectation - of better survival rates.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the lowest funded cancers and has the worst survival rate of any cancer.  If we can raise more money for research and innovation the cancer will be diagnosed much earlier and treatment will be improved.

Dad walked Hadrian’s Wall in 2005 and we are walking in his footsteps. The 84 miles walked are our steps for survival for other pancreatic cancer patients and we would like to thank you for your support.
