Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am hoping to raise money in memory of my Uncle Alan, who died last year. I have decided to raise money for the ward that cared for him during his illness but also for research into Gestational Trophoblastic Disease through the University of Sheffield.
GTD is a rare disorder for which there is a screening and treatment centre at Weston Park Cancer Hospital in Sheffield, the lab I work in performs specialist testing in support of this service - and they are being great by allowing me time off to travel to Machu Picchu! The GTD team at Weston Park is a great team and provide an incredible service and care for hundreds of patients. Research into rare forms of this disease would be invaluable.
Every little helps! Please make a donation, no matter how small, for this great cause - and I will attempt to make it up to Machu Picchu in memory of My Uncle - who definitely inspired me to take on a once in a lifetime challenge!
Thank You xxx
