Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I shall be running a half marathon every month in 2019, finishing with a full marathon in December.  My aim is to raise awareness of the debilitating disease of Myotonic Dystrophy and to raise much needed funds for Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group in order to help other sufferers, as well as support continuing research. This is a cause close to my heart, as my dear aunt Clare stoically battled with the disease for many years of her life and sadly passed away in October last year.

Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group is a charity run by volunteers and dedicated to offering the hand of friendship and support to all those affected by Myotonic Dystrophy.  The charity is supported by professional specialist advisers, including in the fields of genetics, neurology, anaesthetics, research and rehabilitation.

My first race is the Gransden Muddy run in Cambridgeshire on 27th January. My race itinerary for the rest of the year is as follows. (This may be subject to change.)

February 17th - Leicestershire half marathon

March 10th  - Cambridge Boundary run

April 14th  - Rutland Water half marathon

May 12th - Draycote Water half marathon

June 23rd - Colworth Marathon Challenge

July 7th - Leamington Spa half marathon

August 18th - Isle of Wight half marathon

September 29th - Blenheim Palace half marathon

October 6th - Wimpole Hall half marathon

November 17th - St Neots half marathon

December 28th - Great Barrow Marathon

I shall be eternally grateful for any donation you wish to make, big or small and thank you in advance. Every penny makes a difference and I know everyone connected to Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group will be hugely appreciative too.
