Story

We’re back! Last year we took part in Wild at Heart Foundation's 'Who Cares Wins' fundraiser and raised £1,000 in just one month. This year we want to beat it. And to celebrate our first full year with Seeley we wanted to do something to honour him and thank Wild at Heart Foundation for bringing him into our lives.

So here’s what we’re doing: a Virtual Cycle to Bahrain!

Our address in London to the shelter in Bahrain that rescued him is exactly 3,950 miles. It would be far too naive to believe we could possibly cycle 4,000 miles in a month, so we’re going to “tag-team” it. We’re hoping to complete 2,000 miles between us in July, or about 2 hours each every single day! That’s insane, we know, but we’re doing it.

But 2,000 miles isn’t enough, so we need YOUR help to make up the difference. For every mile cycled, either virtually or in the fresh air, we’re going to donate 50p (up to £500 total donation!). So whether you cycle 10, 20 or 100 miles, now’s your time to join #TeamRAR and help support dogs in need. All you have to do is send me your miles using a screenshot of your app used to track your ride. You can message me on Instagram @staciandco, tag me or use the hashtag #LHRtoBAH - or simply email me directly at staci@staciandco.com

I’ll be sharing weekly updates on social media so be sure to follow along to see how we're getting on throughout the month. And thank you so much for donating, we really appreciate it. We’d love your support as we attempt the insane.

What is it?
Who Cares Wins is a month of competitive fundraising for dogs in need. And for those who don't know, WAHF is not only where all our lovely fosters have been through but of course who brought us Seeley! Entrants will have the entire month to raise as much as possible and, while it's all in good fun, we are a little competitive.

About Wild at Heart Foundation
Wild at Heart Foundation believes that a dog can lift our mood, change our day, keep us active and transform a house into a home. They are our fierce protectors, our best friends, our support, structure, strength and solace. They offer freely what humans can spend lifetime learning, which is to love unconditionally. They save our lives in many ways. This is why we are committed to ending the suffering of these amazing creatures. We do this by organising rescue projects, neutering programmes and education initiatives.

About the charity

Wild at Heart Foundation aim to compassionately reduce the stray dog population. We are committed to ending the suffering and improving the wellbeing of these vulnerable stray dogs through sterilisation, education and welfare programmes.
