A group of six people will climb Kilimanjaro in December to assist Vispa: a school and orphanage in Kenya. Two pupils from the school, Peter and Dalmas will accompany the group , which is a first for the school and the region.

The aim of the climb is to raise awareness and funds to complete a girl’s dormitory at Vispa Academy , in Kisumu, Western Kenya, an area of extreme poverty.

Vispa currently has around 600 pupils in nursery , primary ,secondary and tertiary education. However, it is under represented at university/ college level in female pupils due to the need for a secure and sanitary study environment for the senior girls .
