I normally have an allergy to fund raising but they asked so nicely and I just couldn't say no.  And I figure most of us are going to get old and we will need help from organisations like Age Concern to get us over the many obstacles that will be placed in our paths.

This particular event is raising funds for a befriending service.  I read the other day that as many as 75% of old people eat all their meals alone.  That is terribly sad. If I can help just one person to feel less lonely then I will be glad.

I would be super grateful to anyone that would be happy to add a couple of pounds towards my target and in exchange I pledge to run and smile.
