Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2018 · 29 July 2018 ·

The Charity is run by a group of Crystal Palace supporters who raise funds to hire a box each season at Selhurst Park to enable children with special needs and their carers to watch Crystal Palace matches in a safe environment. We also organise an annual Christmas party for around 120 children.

Story

During the closed season, which is the final whistle against West Brom at Home until KO of our first game next season, I will ride 1000 miles for the CPSCC. This will be made up of events including the Mayflyer Sportive, on the 20th May, 56 miles, the Tour of Camebridgeshire Gran Fondo Sportive, on the 3rd June, 80 miles, the London to Brighton on the 16th June, 54 miles, the New Forest Summer Sportive on the 7th July, 81 miles and the Ride London on the 28th July, 100 miles as well as club runs and fast paced training rides. I’m doing this to raise funds to secure the executive box the charity hires every season. The box is occupied each game by a different group of children with varying disabilities and their carers. These children are not able to sit in the stands and without the safety of the box, would not be able to attend games and would have no access to live football. We also lay on a Christmas party for the children which is well attended by the players, it is both heartbreaking and heartwarming to witness this.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story ❤️💙
