Veterans’ Growth works with veterans suffering with mental health issues, providing treatment and support using social and therapeutic horticulture. Participants in our programme are those who are unable to access help and support from the NHS or other charitable organisations, or those for whom existing treatments have been unsuccessful. Our approach involves working with plants and gardens to improve physical and mental health, as well as communication and thinking skills. The physical and mental health benefits of horticulture have been widely reported. Participants gain confidence, knowledge and experience and some will go on to find work experience and employment within the industry. We are committed to supporting every veteran in the UK who wants to attend and/or is unable to access help through other channels. We receive no government funding and rely on your generosity to enable us to continue supporting ex-service personnel from the tri-services. Thank you for your support. We really do appreciate it.
